_Caquelon Schellen-Ursli 17cm
This traditional, hand-painted fondue pot is handcrafted from high-quality ceramic and creates a cozy atmosphere on your dining table.
Each pot is unique and hand-painted in Switzerland based on the designs of the famous Swiss painter Alois Carigiet.
The pot is suitable for all stovetops except induction.
Ceramic is an excellent heat retainer, ensuring that the cheese stays warm for a long time. As this Kuhn Rikon product is handcrafted, slight variations in shape and material may occur.
Usage and Care
Heat the cheese mixture over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes. Increase the temperature as needed and bring the fondue to a boil, stirring constantly.
Once bubbles appear, the cheese has melted and the pot can be placed on the fondue burner.
Do not tap the ladle or fork on the side of the pot while preparing or eating.
To prevent the fondue from burning, we recommend using an aluminum heat management device. This is placed between the fondue pot and the burner to ensure even heat distribution and protect the pot.
Reduce the burner`s power to a medium setting.
After use, fill the fondue pot with cold water and let it stand briefly to make removing cheese residue easier (do not leave it in the water bath). Then, the fondue pot can be easily cleaned with dish soap and a soft brush. After cleaning, let it dry upside down for 24 hours.
The fondue pot is not dishwasher safe.
Small hairline cracks in the glaze ensure the fondue pot`s high resistance to temperature fluctuations. These hairline cracks are more visible on light-colored glazes and become more pronounced with repeated use.
