Kirschli Schellen-Ursli

This hand-painted cherry figurine is a real eye-catcher – the design lovingly hand-painted – a little gem.

Alois Carigiet (born August 30, 1902, in Trun, Graubünden; died August 1, 1985, in Trun) was known for his work as a Swiss painter, illustrator, lithographer, and children`s book author. Three of his best-known picture books are: `Schellenursli`, `Der große Schnee` (The Great Snow), and `Flurina und das Wildvögelein` (Flurina and the Wild Bird). `Schellenursli`, in particular, written by Selina Chönz, brought him national fame. The Engadine connection to nature and landscape is ever-present in Alois Carigiet`s drawings. These unique Carigiet paintings are reflected in the Rheinfelden ceramic products. All products are distinguished as special, unique pieces, lovingly handcrafted – simply admiring this Kuhn Rikon product line brings great joy.
