Pocket-Böögg

Sechseläuten is a celebration of joy. The dark, cold winter nights are bid farewell, spring is welcomed and summer is expected. Thousands of costumed guild members and tens of thousands of spectators populate the city of Zurich on the Sechseläuten weekend.

Part of the Zurich Spring Festival is a colorful children`s parade on Sunday and the guilds` procession to the fire on Monday. The highlight is the symbolic burning of winter in the form of a snowman - the Böögg.
